Chinese 2 is building on the basic communication skills of Chinese 1, expanding them thematically to "My Extended World". We will touch on the following topics:

1. School Life: Hello, My Daily Schedule, School Subjects, School Locations

2. Clothes and Fashion: Weather and Seasons, What Should I Wear?, Shopping for Clothes

3. Food and Restaurant: Western Food, Exploring Chinese Cuisine, Eating at a Chinese Restaurant

4. Home and Community: My House, My Community, Let Me show You Around!

5. Health: I'm Not Well, I'm Injured, Take a Sick Leave

The students will expand their active (for writing) and passive (for recognition) knowledge of Chinese characters, they will also keep practicinh tone recognition and pronunciation.

All contents of the level 2 Chinese class are taught on the background of important cultural events in the course of the school year, and in reference to cultural objects of great relevance for our topics.
